In terms of GDP, Florida is the fourth largest economy in the United States. The state's main taxpayers are companies that provide various types of services, such as financial services, retailers, transportation and public organizations, manufacturing and construction companies.

According to state statistics, approximately 2.5 million Florida residents live in poverty, of which approximately 18% are children under the age of 18. At the same time, about the same number of state residents are millionaires. The unemployment rate in Florida is approximately 12%.

Florida has a strong extractive industry. In particular, phosphate mines concentrated in Bone Valley are the state's third largest economic sector, producing 75% of all phosphate needed by U.S. farmers. The U.S. Air Force is also a significant part of Florida's economy. dollars annually.
