Three-Year Business Plan Finalized
Alliance defines its vision, mission, goals and more
After months of collaboration and input, the Southwest Florida Economic Development Alliance now has a three-year Business Plan to guide its ongoing development. Click here to download the entire plan.
Based on a vision to promote Southwest Florida as an excellent place to do business — in addition to being a premier vacation and retirement destination — the Alliance’s mission is to create a marketing engine representing the region by working collaboratively with local economic development offices to attract businesses that will diversify and grow the economy.
In June, the Alliance hired Momentum Partners, led by Sejal Srinivasan, to provide strategy, marketing, fundraising and communications services through 2014 under the direction of the Board of Directors. A director and support staff person are planned for year two.
Momentum Partners’ goals include determining targeted industries, identifying key regional assets matched to industry needs, and developing a marketing approach with collateral materials. Executing our 2014 Marketing Plan
Implementation of the Alliance’s 2014 Marketing Plan is well underway, with a budget of $80,000 for a trade show booth, collateral materials, and participating in two targeted trade shows and two site selector meetings. Our first show was the Medical Device Manufacturing Show in NYC …next up is the International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago. We’ll also participate in the CoreNet Global North American Summit trade show in DC. We appreciate the cooperation of the local economic development offices to provide staffing for these important outreach efforts.
